School days, School days....

I'm sad to see Summer go, I really enjoy our "Summer lifestyle" as I like to call it.  Being a professional photographer has allowed me to have a more flexible schedule during the summer so my kids can be home as much as possible.  Don't get me wrong, this "Summer Lifestyle" has it's challenges.. like often having to work 6 days a week, staying up late to work after the kids go to bed (to finish work for the day that didn't get done because of the extra interruptions), and stressing to get my butt out there to market my business so we have sales coming in that pay bills.  Despite the extra challenges, I'm still sad to have a new schedule upon us and I'm hoping we can keep it a bit more relaxed this year to keep enjoying our time together. In a moment of creativity a few months ago, I found an awesome idea on Pinterest that I have re-created here for our School Days portrait sessions yesterday and today.  I started doing these sessions last year, because frankly, I was tired of the inconsistency with that chain store place the school's hire and I knew I could do a better job.  I'm a little bit annoyed when I see portraits of kid's on people's walls that are supposedly "professional" and the kids have crazy hair, milk mustaches and dirty looking clothes because they were photographed after recess.  Not to ...
